The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special Review

Some call it “the most wonderful time of the year” but, here at PFB, we like to refer to this time of year by only one adjective… “Special.” By now you’ve almost certainly blown the dust off the covers of your favorite Christmas DVD cases and begun spending a few nights a week with a Christmas film or classic holiday special. This year, visionary director James Gunn is bidding for acceptance into that coveted group of cult holiday classics with his all-new Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. This is new ground for both Gunn and the Marvel Cinematic Universe and, in our Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special Review, we discuss what all worked (or didn’t) and whether or not this special does enough to earn its way onto the nice list and into our hearts and homes for years to come.
