We. Are. Back. And by that, I mean that the Hollywood strikes have ended as SAG-AFTRA has agreed to a tentative agreement with the AMPTP, effectively meaning Hollywood is back in business. I am definitely referencing the strike ending only and not the fact that we took an unannounced 2-month hiatus because that no longer matters! We are here now to discuss the latest in film and tv news including the recent rumors surrounding Marvel Studios and their plans to revive the MCU. We’ll also discuss the absolute avalanche of tv and movie trailers that dropped following the announcement of the strike ending. And, I guess we’ll take a bit of time to address that hiatus and what we’ve been up to. DC debuts its first Latino Superhero cast with the likes of Xolo Maridueña, Bruno Marquezine, Belissa Escobedo, and the one-and-only George Lopez. Stemming from the 2006 DC Story line, Jaime Reyes, normal teenager, becomes symbiotic with the advanced alien scarab technology to become the Blue Beetle, whether he likes it or not.

The most hyped film of 2023 is here! And, in years past, we would usually qualify that statement by saying, “one of…” or “what is probably the…” before “most hyped,” but not this time. Why is that you ask? Well, the subject of this week’s review is a little film called The Flash. Ever heard of it? Of course, you have! Because the studio (Warner Bros.) has gone so unbelievably far out of its way to make this film as hyped as possibly even enlisting the help of Hollywood Superstar Tom Cruise and newly-minted co-CEO of DC Studios James Gunn, who both publicly called the film one of the greatest superhero movies ever made. So, that leaves us staring down a familiar question: does The Flash live up to the hype?
