No Time To Die will likely go down in history as one of the films most closely tied to the pandemic since it was one of the first big titles to move as a result of the virus. And, much like the movie itself, our review was delayed because of unforeseen circumstances. But, at long last, both No Time To Die and our review of No Time To Die are here and we have lots of good discussion in store. In addition to our normal review, we take some time at the end for freeform discussion about what is next for Bond. It is good to be back!

One of the more recent trends in film is to create a feature film that is either a prequel or sequel to a successful TV show, allowing the opportunity to capitalize on the franchise equity without having to do a revival or reboot. The most recent instance of this is The Sopranos’ prequel The Many Saints of Newark. Of course films like this are hard to critique simply by their nature but, in this episode, we throw out all of our thoughts on this initial attempt at a spin-off of The Sopranos and whether the experiment was worthwhile.

It has been 3 years since Tom Hardy’s Venom first graced the silver screen and, to the surprise of many, scored over $1 billion in global box office earnings. That kind of performance does not come around every day, and with it comes huge expectations for the sequel. So for our first review of the week, we discussed Venom: Let There Be Carnage.
