It’s our biggest episode of the year! I know that may not sound like much in a year like 2020, but strap in because we’ve got TONS of news to cover. On this week’s episode, we dive into the Warner Bros. and HBO Max news after they turned the movie industry upside down last week. We also cover ALL of the headlines from Disney’s Investor Day. By the way, remember that whole “Live-Action Spider-verse” thing we’ve speculated about a few times? Well, that is happening, and we have all of our thoughts. And if that’s not enough we’ve got our review of what some are speculating could be a Best Picture contender in David Fincher’s Netflix original film, Mank. If you’ve been missing the movies like us, this episode is the perfect elixir.

Technical difficulties may have killed last week’s episode, but we are back for vengeance after 2.5 long weeks. We spent all of that extra time to think even more about this week’s review of Netflix and Aaron Sorkin’s The Trial of the Chicago 7 and that means this review is going to be a barnburner. We’ve got Moon Knight news, Snyder Cut news, Dexter news. Plus, we say our final goodbye to Quibi before it lays in its final resting place. And we wrap up the show with a hotly contested Schoolyard Pick of Legal Dramas.

Book 'em, Danno. We're 5-0. That's right, today marks our 50th episode of Popcorn for Breakfast and it is a huge one. We did two movie reviews, Enola Holmes and The Devil All The Time. We brought back the Cinephile game to try out a new game mode. And, for one time only, Top 5 is back with our Top 5 Favorite Movies. Plus, you know we wouldn't let an episode go by without some movie news. In this week's "What's Poppin'" we talk about Doctor Strange appearing in Spider-Man 3, Disney and Pixar's Soul moving to Disney+, Tinkerbell, Hawkman, and Ms. Marvel casting, the Live-Action Lion King sequel, the new Nick Fury series, Steve Carrell returning to Apple TV+'s The Morning Show, and much MUCH more.
Thank you all for your dedication to this podcast, we love pulling it together week after week and hope you enjoy it. Here's to the next 50!

Being in quarantine due to a pandemic can make it feel like the days run together or never end. You might even say it starts to feel like a… time loop. (See what we did there) This week, the PFB guys reviewed the Hulu Original Film Palm Springs. The guys also take time to discuss Mulan arriving on Disney+ in September, the big Captain Marvel 2 news, and John Wick 5. To wrap up the show, Kirk and Cam face off in the Schoolyard Pick of Time Loops and discuss which situations they’d like to be stuck in FOR. EV. VER. (Any Sandlot fans in the house?) You won’t want to miss this one!
