We’ve made it to the great MCU pause. Sure, it’s a bit dramatic to even call a less than one year gap between films a pause. But the reality is that there has been A LOT of Marvel Cinematic Universe content since the Infinity Saga, so a pause like the one between The Marvels and Deadpool 3 is significant. Needless to say, the fan and critical reaction to every bit of Marvel Studios content after Avengers: Endgame has been mixed at best. So, now that two more tentpoles, Loki Season 2 and The Marvels, are in the books, where does the MCU stand heading into the pause? In this episode, we’ll answer that question including sharing our ratings for all Multiverse Saga movies and shows, a reaction to the Crisis at Marvel article from Variety, and speculation on what’s to come. “Higher, Further, Faster, Baby!” Captain Marvel is back on the big screen and this time she has a few friends with her on a journey of intergalactic discovery. This sequel, as sequels so often do in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, takes the form of a super team-up rather than another solo adventure for the main character. Fresh off standout performances in Wandavision and Ms. Marvel, respectively, Teyonah Parris and Iman Vellani join Academy Award Winner Brie Larson for the biggest female superhero movie of all time. In our spoiler-free review of The Marvels we’ll discuss every aspect of the sequel including how it stacks up in the larger MCU and how it compares to the first Captain Marvel film. Hollywood Strikes End, Marvel in Crisis, Trailers Galore

We. Are. Back. And by that, I mean that the Hollywood strikes have ended as SAG-AFTRA has agreed to a tentative agreement with the AMPTP, effectively meaning Hollywood is back in business. I am definitely referencing the strike ending only and not the fact that we took an unannounced 2-month hiatus because that no longer matters! We are here now to discuss the latest in film and tv news including the recent rumors surrounding Marvel Studios and their plans to revive the MCU. We’ll also discuss the absolute avalanche of tv and movie trailers that dropped following the announcement of the strike ending. And, I guess we’ll take a bit of time to address that hiatus and what we’ve been up to.
