If you like movies you have definitely heard or maybe asked yourself the question: is the film industry dying?

The box office is down double digits year-to-date compared to 2023 and more and more big budget movies are debuting in theaters with lackluster earnings. So, is this really it? Are movie theaters and the movie industry as we know it about to be wiped out? In this episode, we answer all those questions and more including why people think the movie industry is dying in 2024 versus years prior, if it is true that the movie industry (or at least the movie theater industry) is dying, and what can be done if the movie industry is dying.

Sprawling across major metropolitan cities with epic-level stakes and storytelling, the original trilogy (Directed by Rupert Wyatt and Matt Reeves respectively) solidified itself as a visual masterpiece. Based on the 1980s TV series, Ryan Gosling is EXPLOSIVE on the elaborate action sets (or is it HIS stunt double?), acting as a stunt double by day, and moonlighting as an investigator by night.
